We will begin our new unit on tree identification! This is the best time of the year to ID trees as they will turn amazing colors. It is very rewarding to be able to identify them! Students will work a partner . We will collect 30 samples in class and press them. Then we will mount the in a photo ablum with the plant sample on one side and the information sheet on the other, a giant flash card! Students will take 2 ID tests and turn in their notebook collection for a grade. We will work on this for appx. 3 weeks. We did operate some equipment last week and will blend ID & equipment together. Please be prepared to outside and collect samples or operate equipment. Please have shoes and a jacket/sweatshirt as it is cool in the mornings. If you have any comments or concerns please contact me. Thanks, Mrs. Hutmacher
