PLEASE check & record information on your PGP this is a HUGE PROJECT and a large part of your grade this semester.................................. This should be you 7 day observation

Sept 29 General Horticulture
We are wrapping up our plant propagation unit this week. We will review on Monday & Tuesday. The target test day is Wednesday. That may difficult with more testing this week. So the test may be on Thursday. Regurdless....
students need to review ALL materials on plant propagation, handouts, chapter 5 and ALL flash cards from the beginning of the semester. Hope fully, we will spend 2 days this week on euipment if I can get gas to fill up the gas cans..................that is proving to be a challenge!

You should be finishing up your PGP propagation work. We begin our ID portion of the semester this week. We will spend the the next 2 weeks on this. So be prepared, you need those 4x6 cards I have been telling you about!

The propagation projects were great last week. They will not be entered for the 6 week progress reports.
We finally get to go work in the GH! We begin our PGP (personal growing projects) on Monday! the week looks like this...
Monday:GH Procedures & Intro to PGP and make your plant seletions
Tuesday:Research plant selections and infor mation for written portion of the project
Wednesday- Friday: Propagate your plants!!
** You MUST have CLOSED TOED SHOES to work in the Green House.

It PGPtime! I will go over the packets on Monday and hope fully make selections. Tuesday do research and propagte starting Wednesday. WOW! we have spent ALOT of time on Basic Botany,Careers, College stuff and did the 5 senses demo lab. We have made flash cards for vocab, organized your class notebook. You should be working on the BASIC BOTANY CD/ALBUM Cover review project. It will be due on Tuesday.
If you have already finished and would like to turn it in on Monday that is fine. The week looks like this..
Monday: Basic Botany Review as a class and if time permits you will be able to work on your review CD/Album cover.
Tuesday: TEST! It will cover Basic Botany,Careers, College stuff and did the 5 senses demo lab.
The TEST, this will require you to THINK and APPLY what you have learned and what you know. It will challenge you I promise. PLEASE study, review notes, flash cards and anything that we colored!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wed-Friday: We begin a new unit on PROPAGATION i! Yea, getting closer to working in the GH.
We will read chater 5 and answer all review questions. Then each student will be given a group assignment to present to the class. Please contact me if you have any qestions, Mrs. Hutmacher
