August 25-August 29
On Monday of this week, we will have our first major written test, covering chps.1 and 2 in the textbook. This first test will be open note. The student may use whatever classnotes they may have, as well as anything they've noted from the textbook. This does mean a little studying isn't still in order, however! You will at least need to be familiar enough with your notes to recognize where in your notes particular information might be found!
HOMEWORK Mon. night - Study Chp.3, Section 1
On Tuesday, we'll be discussing the benefits of our free enterprise system in the United States (Chp.3, Section 1). Econ. standards 4 and 5) We will also see part 1 of a short video on the role of the entrepreneur in our economy.

We will also see a brief video presentationj on the importance of August 28th in our recent history, leading up to Senator Obama's acceptance speech tonight (BY THE WAY, IN CASE YOU'RE WONDERING, WE WILL FOLLOW EVENTS AT THE REPUBLICAN CONVENTION NEXT WEEK EQUALLY CLOSELY!)

If we know who it is by classtime, we'll try to fit that in, too! If not, we'll discuss it on Monday.
