REVIEW

Don't forget to access the website given out in class. It will help you as you study for your final exam. Remember the final counts 15% and the Supreme Court project counts 10%.

In closing, I must say that this has been a wonderful semester. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with such a fine group of young people. You may be leaving Harrison, but you will forever be in my thoughts and prayers! Congratulations and best wishes in your future endeavors!

Study Guide

www.gov.glencoe.com

Week of May 5, 2008

In GOVERNMENT this week, we'll be discussing both CONGRESS (Mon.-Wed.) and THE PRESIDENCY (Thurs. - Fri., and Mon. of next week).

Study notes for each unit are provided below, but these are NOT the notes students will need to t ake in class. So pay attention!

Each day, we will also see a special film presentation, but only for a small portion of the period.

Monday through Wednesday, in conjunction with our discussion of CONGRESS, we'll see Frank Capra's classic film about one man's battle against corruption in our nation's capital, "MR. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON."

Thursday and Friday, accompanying our discussion of THE PRESIDENCY, students will see "THIRTEEN DAYS", starring Kevin Costner, about the October, 1962, Cuban Missile Crisis.
