Economics

January 28 - February 1

If all goes as planned, Mr. Lynn will be returning to teach on Monday, February 4th! Remember to keep checking out the textbook companion website for practice quizzes and tests...those pop quizzes are going to continue in class!

This week:
We will be continuing our study of Unit 2, completing Chapters 6 and 7. On Monday, we are presenting our entrepreneur projects. Tuesday-Wednesday, we will be discussing Equilibrium and Market Structure. On Thursday, we will review, and Friday, take the Unit 2 Test.

January 22 - January 25

Welcome back from our 3-day weekend! This week, will be covering more Supply and Demand. Students, please make sure you are reviewing and previewing the textbook nightly. We have noticed many students struggling with this new material, so make sure you are taking the necessary steps to facilitate your understanding. Furthermore, all students received information about a very helpful companion website for the textbook. This site contains practice tests and quizzes that are very similar to those taken in class. Please make sure you visit the site and practice the material. We are two weeks into the semester with about 7 more to go before your EOCT!!!

Tuesday--more Demand (Chapter 4)
Wednesday--Supply (Chapter 5)
Thursday--Equilibrium (Chapter 6)
Friday--Working in the Computer Lab on the Entreprenuer Project. This project will be due on Monday.

January 15, 2008

January 14 - January 18

This week, we will be wrapping up our study of Unit 1. Our test will be on Wednesday 1/15 covering everything we have done so far in Economics.

Monday--We will focus on the Production Possibilities Curve and take a quiz over the information. Our notes will cover Economic Systems found in Chapter 2 of your textbook.
Tuesday--We will look at American Free Enterprise (Chapter 3) and how the government impacts the economy. You will get a study guide in class to help you study for your test TOMORROW.
Wednesday--Unit 1 Test
Thursday--We will start looking at Supply and Demand (Chapters 4-5 in your textbook)
Friday--Continuing Supply and Demand. You will have a quiz covering this information on Tuesday 1/22.

Wall Street Journal Article
Notes covering Chapter 1-- Sections 1 & 2
Complete handout for homework if you didn't finish in class.
Read Chapter 1 -- Section 3 tonight.
Review ALL notes.

Friday (1/11)
Notes covering Chapter 1 -- Section 3.
