Week of December 3 - December 7

We are getting close to the end of the semester and one more unit to complete! I also want to update you on Mr. Lynn. He had his surgery last Tuesday and spent the rest of last week recovering in the hospital. His excellent doctors and nurses took great care of him and got him up walking very quickly. Immediately, he had more energy than he has had in a long time. He was released on Saturday and will continue his recovery at home.

This week:
Monday 12/3--We will be discussing the Powers of the Presidency in action. Look at Chapter 9 Section 1. The students also received a study guide for their TEST TOMORROW. If you were absent today, the study guide can be found at the end of this blog. Be prepared to take your test tomorrow upon your return.

Tuesday 12/4--EXECUTIVE BRANCH TEST

Wednesday 12/5--We will begin our final unit on the Judicial Branch. We will be discussing information found in Chapter 11 Sections 1-3 (Judicial Organization).

Thursday 12/6--We will be discussing Chapter 15 Sections 1-3 (History of Law and the Courts)

Friday 12/7--We will discuss the Supreme Court and the Freedoms found in Chapter 11 Section 3, Chapter 12 Sections 1 and 2, and Chapter 13 Sections 1-5. The students will receive a Supreme Court Brief Project that will be due Thursday 12/13.

Have a wonderful week!
