Week of 11/26 to 11/30
We are on the home stretch to the end of the semester! I hope you all had a wonderful and restful Thanksgiving Break!

This week, we will be talking about the Executive Branch. This unit lasts 6 days and our test will be next Tuesday! If you will be absent at any time this week, please see me or Mrs. Hale to get caught up as quickly as possible. Be sure to check the orange make-up work folder to get your notes and handouts that you may have missed. Also, make sure you are reviewing the topics we cover in class nightly. We are really picking up the pace through the rest of the semester!

Monday: Chapter 8 Section 1 and Chapter 9 Section 2 will be covered. For homework, finish your Roles of the President questions. This will be collected.

Tuesday: Chapter 8 Section 2 will be covered.

Wednesday: Chapter 8 Sections 3-4 and Chapter 10 Section 1 will be covered.

Thursday: Chapter 9 Section 3 will be covered.

Friday: Chapter 9 Section 1 will be covered.

REMINDER: Be sure to look over your notes, the study guide, and chapters 5, 6 & 7 as you prepare for the test on Monday. Access the site I mentioned in my previous entry for practice quizzes and chapter overviews. If you were not present and did not receive a study guide, Mrs. Hale has posted a copy on Mr. Lynn's Blog.

Drop-In and Welcome

Don't forget the drop-in that is scheduled for Mr. Lynn on November 16th between 7:45 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. Your presence will mean a great deal to him as he continues to recover from his car accident and prepares for his upcoming surgery.

At the same time, we'd like to welcome Mrs. Hale to our class. She's very excited about joining our class, and we're looking forward to having her with us the remainder of the semester.

Week of November 5, 2007

We have a short week this week, but it is power-packed! This week, Wed.-Fri., in class, we will be discussing the U.S. Constitution . We will also see a film called "A More Perfect Union," commissioned by the U.S. government to tell the story of the Constitutional Convention.

HOMEWORK this week - Study textbook chps. on the Constitutional Convention, the Constitution, and the Legislative Branch (Congress).
