Oct 24-28

IIST 3 Students have selected their final path and should be busy on their projects. During any time between projects and after reflection on past project performances, diligent attention needs to be paid toward certification paths. A+ Certification for Computer Service and Repair students, MCSE, CCNA, or CNE certification for Networking students. Programming students will need to continue mastery of their particular software specialty.

This week all students have their current projects to work on. I will be out Thursday and if any student should finish their particular project prior to my return on Friday, there is certainly remaining certification or mastery skills requiring your attention.

IIST 2 students begin the semester reviewing the alternate numbering systems and basic expectations and instructions. They then will complete their final path and select a permanent path. At this juncture they may pick between Computer Programming, Computer Service and Repair, and Networking. Once this path is selected they continue certification studies and will occasionally, have projects assigned to them or a small group.

This week specifically, students have and know their assignments and my expectations. I expect a certain level of progress. I will be out on Thursday but be prepared for the Status Report on Friday.
