<p><strong>**ALL students will receive their research papers after Thanksgiving break.  The new deadline for final drafts will be Friday, December 5, 2008.  No late papers accepted.  Because you have a little extra time over the break, I would begin looking at and fixing areas you KNOW need improvement instead of waiting until you get your drafts back.  You'll only have 4 days!</strong><br />
No vocab. or dgp this week!</p>

<p>Monday - Finish Act IV and work on study guide.  First drafts of Macbeth essay due.  Final drafts due on Friday, Nov. 21st.  Don't forget Turnitin.com.  We will also read in Brave New World.<br />

<p>**In journal and paragraph format, please address the following questions and prompts.  The more you write and the more detailed and elaborate your reflection, the more points you can earn up to 5.</p>

<p>Did you finish your novel by the recommended due date?<br />
Did you use your time wisely in the media center?<br />
When did you begin writing this research paper?<br />
How many drafts have you written?<br />
Who edited your paper?<br />
What do YOU know needs to be done to improve your paper?<br />
How often did you use the Research Guide to give you instruction or guidance?<br />
What would you change about the way YOU approached this assignment?<br />
What did you find successful about this process (from research to writing)?<br />
How well did follow instructions for this process?  If not very well, why not?<br />
What grade do you think this first draft deserves?</p>

<p>Add any additional comments that you think I should know.  Bring this to class to turn in.  It does not have to be typed.</p>

<p>Please be prepared to continue a rigorous schedule next week as we begin <em>Macbeth</em>.</p>

<p><strong><u>Vocab and Daily Grammar Practice essential question:</u></strong> How can demonstrating correct usage of grammar and vocabulary help you improve your writing? (ELA12C1, C2)</p>

<p><u>Monday </u>-  Turn in Works Cited page and outline.  Begin Vocab. 9.  Notes on Intro. and Conclusion paragraphs.  Notes on Renaissance.  Read pages 222-232 in textbook.<br />
<u>Tuesday -</u> Vocab. 9, notes on incorporating quotes and citations.  Continue notes on Renaissance, Shakespeare and Macbeth.<br />
<u>Weds. - </u>Vocab. 9, sample research papers, last day for questions!!!  Notes on <u>Macbeth.</u>  Begin play if time permits.<br />
<u>Thursday -</u> Vocab. 9, Senior play in theater, <u>Macbeth</u>.</p>
