Student parking

Many HHS students wish to drive to school, and though we would like to be able to provide a parking space on campus to accommodate all student drivers, we have insufficient spaces to be able to do so. To help remedy the situation, we sell permits and issue parking spaces according to established priorities. We offer spaces to seniors first. After all eligible seniors have received a parking space, we offer the remaining available spaces to the junior class students who also wish to drive to school.

Application procedure

Seniors and juniors who wish to apply for parking must do the following:

  • Download and complete the parking application and parking contract found in the sidebar. The parking application requires the signatures of the student, parent or guardian, and vehicle owner. If the parent or guardian is also the vehicle owner, they must sign in both places.
  • Prepare the following items and submit with application:
    • Parking Application
    • Parking Contract
    • Valid Georgia driver's license
    • Current proof of insurance for the vehicle being registered (check the expiration date)

We do not consider an application complete without all the items above. Please submit all required documents to the Athletics Office during our open application dates.

We process applications using students' cumulative high school attendance history to establish the order in which we process the requests. Attendance history helps determine which students receive permits.

parking decal information

Seniors and juniors may pay for and pick-up parking decals from the Athletics Office on Monday, July 17 through Thursday, July 20, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Students who were unable to apply for parking during the May enrollment may apply on Tuesday, July 25 and Wednesday, July 26 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Students must pick up decals and have the decal affixed to the vehicle prior to driving to school on Monday, July 31, 2017.

Please note that students who have outstanding debts (such as lost/damaged textbooks or unpaid parking citations) owed the school will not be sold a parking permit until the indebtedness is cleared. Students who have had parking privileges suspended or revoked during the previous semester may not re-apply until the period of suspension or revocation has expired unless the revocation ends prior to the beginning of the upcoming semester.

Previous parking decals, if applicable, are to be removed from the vehicle. Decals are to be affixed to the inside front windshield in the lower corner on the passenger side.
