Graduation Updates

For our seniors and their families, we are getting closer to commencement on Thursday, June 3 at 9:00 a.m. at McEachern High School. We will continue to update the details for graduation on this page of the website.

One important update is as follows: Due to the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cobb County School District was not able to finalize a commencement schedule prior to the printing deadline for graduation announcements for the class of 2021. Therefore, we printed the announcements without a specific date. Herff Jones has provided insert cards for graduates that would like to add the date and location of the ceremony with their graduation announcements. To request these inserts, please email Dr. Christi Osborne with your senior’s name and the number of announcements you ordered.

Graduates in the class of 2021 will each receive six guest tickets for family to attend commencement after adjustments were made to the seating configuration at Cantrell Stadium. Public health guidelines including, but not limited to, social distancing, face masks, and symptom screening will be implemented. The number of tickets is decided at the district level and not decided by the local high school. Tickets will be distributed on May 27 at Harrison High School. See distribution times in the calendar of senior events below.
